A self-powered splitter is the most flexible solution. You bring the machine to the wood rather than the other way around, and you do not depend on the hydraulic output of a tractor. For hire companies and landscapers that is often decisive, but private owners with a large wood stock work comfortably with them as well.
Double acting splitting
Every Split-Fire machine splits on the inward and the outward stroke of the blade alike. There is no wasted stroke, so you work almost twice as fast as with a single acting splitter. On the models with a cross blade you swap between a two-way blade and a cross blade within ten seconds, depending on the thickness of the log.
Which model suits you?
The 2265 and the 3265 run on a Honda GX200 petrol engine and suit private use as well as hire. The 3465 and the 4490 are built for heavier and longer work, with a cross blade for more output per log. If you want to take the machine on the road, choose the CE approved trailer: CE approved to 90 km/h and under 750 kg, so no separate registration is needed.
